Chipotle Beef Burger with Crispy Fried Shallots

This Chipotle Beef Burger is a spicy and flavorful twist on the classic burger, featuring a chipotle-infused patty topped with crispy fried shallots for added crunch and depth of flavor. It's perfect for burger lovers who enjoy a little heat and a lot of taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 shallots, thinly sliced
  • Lettuce, tomato slices, and mayonnaise for garnish

Instructions:

Put the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped cilantro, minced chipotle peppers, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl

Mix everything together well

Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty

Warm up your grill or pan on the stove by setting it on medium-high heat

Grill or fry the burger patties for four to five minutes on each side, or until they're done the way you like them

Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty and let it melt in the last minute of cooking

In a different pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat while the burgers are cooking

If you want the shallots to get crispy and golden brown, add them now and fry them for a while

Take them out of the oil and let them drain on paper towels

You can grill or toast the burger buns until they are lightly browned

On the bottom half of each bun, put a lettuce leaf

Then, put a burger patty with melted cheese, crispy fried shallots, tomato slices, and a dollop of mayonnaise on top of each leaf

Put the other half of the bun on top
