Yeast Waffles

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

  • 2 cups warm milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions:

In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt

Pour the warm milk and melted butter into the yeast mixture and stir

Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the batter rise for 1 hour in a warm place

Preheat your waffle iron
